Peckham Levels is an iconic former multi-storey car park, owned by Southwark Council, located next to Peckham Rye Station. Refitted in 2017 by Carl Turner Architects, the 94,000 square foot space now offers 90 studios, coworking, retail units, a food court, and a live performance venue. It hosts a vibrant community of startups, artists, social enterprises, and a satellite campus for the University of the Arts London. On August 28th, The Trampery assumed operations, offering new licenses to occupiers while maintaining previous rent levels and providing a two-week rent-free period. The Trampery’s management, in partnership with Southwark Council, includes a service level agreement that ensures business support and discounted space for local organizations. The community impact is monitored by a steering group of Councillors and local residents. Southwark Council is also planning a long-term strategy to ensure the building continues to meet the community’s needs. In 2023, Peckham Levels was listed as an Asset of Community Value, recognizing its significant role in the local area.
