Cluttons Charity seminar 24th April 2015

On 23rd April Cluttons hosted a charity sector seminar with NCVO to discuss 'taking the hassle out of relocation'. The turnout was excellent with over 70 guests in attendance and 40 charities represented.

The seminar covered a time-bound walk through the various processes from making a 'go' decision to setting foot in the new office.

These processes included the following:

  • Strategy & set up: Understanding your strategy and needs, new ways of working, budgeting and setting up your relocation team
  • Search, options and viewing: How to go about your search, using marketing intelligence, identifying suitable options
  • Technical considerations: Fit out, IT & communications, H&S, M&E - what you need to be aware of
  • Negotiations & legal implications: Negotiating head of terms, securing the best offer, do's and don't - getting it right first time 
  • Case study: VSO International on moving HQ, reflections and lessons learnt
